About this Project

I joined Akamedics Ltd as a Digital Solutions Engineer, a health-tech company based in Leicester, UK, that provides e-learning courses to medical students worldwide with a focus on anaesthesia exam preparation. I led the redesign of their e-learning platforms, which primarily included the website and, secondarily, the learning management system used for managing their courses. My role involved re-engineering the WordPress site by integrating custom Next.js and React components, optimizing SEO, and setting up analytics for performance tracking. The project not only modernized the platform’s UI/UX but also improved scalability, maintainability, and overall engagement with its growing community of medical students.

Objective

To enhance user experience, improve engagement, and provide a more dynamic and scalable digital presence for Akamedics through a new strategic redesign of the website.
